First of all we need to know, what is mean by computer and what is computer?
The word COMPUTER came from the word compute which means to calculate. In English, we know, adding 'r' or 'er' verb can be changed to noun, such as play (+er)= player means who plays. work (+er)= worker means who works. Similarly adding 'r' the word compute has become COMPUTER [compute + r = computer] means who computes OR the machine which computes or calculates.
Definition of Computer: Computer is an electronic device which can perform mathematical as well as logical operations in no time with 100% accuracy without any fatigue and can store data in memory for future use. Here the word 'no time' means the time is so less that it is like zero time but not zero.
Computer has 2 components. those are Hardware and software. Hardware are those components of the computer which has a physical shape but software are those components of the computer which has no shape nor any Weight. Software is a set of so many programs. In simple words we can differ in hardware and software as- hardware is just like our body parts such as bone, blood, skin etc and software is just like love, emotions, like, dislike etc
Computer has been classified into 4 types. these are (1) Super Computer, (2) Mainframe Computer, (3) Mini Computer, and (4) Micro Computer. Among these we are using Micro Computers in office and Home.
Micro Computer has also categorized into 4 types ie. (a) Desktop, (b) Laptop, (c) Palmtop, and (d) Tablet.
